Steve sent me a link to a YouTube video a few days ago. I finished watching the video today... I loved it! These two chaps (Beard Brothers) are a breath of fresh air, and then some. I won't spoil it by explaining, I'll just place it here and let you enjoy it for yourselves... https://youtu.be/kQ1QcBr5Dmw …

About a month or so ago I sent a letter. Wanting nothing in return it was sent with one purpose, to say thank you! It was sent to David Warner. The man responsible for bringing the world of one Charlie Chadwick to life ( please see previous post - Pot of gold... ) Charlie’s diaries ( 4 …

A Solstice SO24 Ride Fail Report Steve’s suggestion of a solstice ride was a perfect opportunity to step up and contribute with some route planning and detailing. I had previous with the Roaches, having taken nine fellows out there to celebrate my 55th birthday a couple of years back. It had to be the perfect …

2 years ago my good friend, and fellow grass up the middler, Steve Makin took on the Kiwi Brevet. The Brevet follows a 1100km route, and climbs 11000 meters in the northern part of the southern island of New Zealand. You are allotted 8 days to finish the route. The rules of the brevet are similar …

An Obituary. A few words on a short lived love affair (sorry Nick) In my life I have an overwhelming amount of errands to run, cafes and restaurants to eat at and pubs to visit. This sort of outrageous lifestyle requires a bicycle which one does not need to be too precious about, a bike …

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

Our #gutmspringforward23 bivvy weekend has just taken place, there was a good turnout and the weather was mostly kind, unfortunately I managed to pick up yet another chest infection so couldn’t make it so I’ll be intrigued to read about it in a forthcoming blog post coming soon There’s a new post up on the blog, some excellent writing and snapping about some fun winter riding from our pal @singlespeedsimon Bicycle rides are always enhanced by either a train or boat journey somewhere along the way, boats are best but trains run a close second twenty five miles into 25mph headwinds equals a beer on a bench with a sea view @farmyardbrewco ground conditions wet, forecast wet, bring mudguards Last reminder that if you are coming along to the #GUTMspringforward23 bivvy please let us know so we can book dinner for the evening, we’ll be eating at a country pub that gets busy on a Saturday night The forecast is looking good for this coming Sunday, so it maybe a good day for a fully loaded shakedown ride in preparation for the #GUTMspringforward23 bivvy ? Meeting at 830am @Riverbankcoffee for a ride out to Rostherne Church across the cheshire tundra, a sociable thirty miles or so, all welcome #GUTMspringforward23 bivvy details, meeting at the Riverbank Cafe at 1030 and riding by 11ish, sociable pace and mostly flat until the last pull up to the bivvy spot, dinner at a pub, amazing night under the stars, early morning artisinal coffe, ride home fully satisfied The next Sunday Service will be decided on the day due to the weather forecast, it looks like heavy rain so if we do ride it’ll be into the city for an urban exploration, meeting at 8am at Riverbank for coffee
